Mother/Daughter Duos (Part II)

Here's the final(?) part of my Mother/Daughter Duos post. I hope you like it.
Last post, I ended with a tie. Mothers and Daughters both at 3. Let's see if we get a winner...

Peggy Lipton & Rashida Jones

Oh my gosh...

It's Julie Barnes from The Mod Squad. Serious bonus just for that. And, oh yeah, she's beautiful (and still is).

Rashida Jones is the daughter of Peggy Lipton and musician Quincy Jones. She's been flexing her comedy muscles in The Office (back when it was still watchable), the movie that I haven't seen I Love You, Man, and Parks & Rec with Amy Poehler.
Bonus: Peggy Lipton has another daughter, Kidada (Rashida's older sister). Kidada is a model and fashion designer. She was also engaged to Tupac. Here's the whole family together:

This is a really difficult one for me. But Rashida's eyes just get to me

Tippi Hedren, Melanie Griffith & Dakota Johnson

Tippi Hedren was the lead in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (also in Hitchcock's Marnie with Sean Connery).
Melanie Griffith... She doesn't do much for me. But she must have something going on for her to swing Antonio Banderas.

Maybe it's the plastic surgery that's turning me off...

Dakota Johnson is the daughter of Melanie and actor Don Johnson (Miami Vice). She was a fairly successful model, but she's moving on to acting. She'll be in the upcoming movie Beastly with Neil Patrick Harris and that High School Musical girl.

Tippi wins this one, easy.

Susan Sarandon & Eva Amurri


Susan Sarandon is another one of those women that is like a fine wine--only getting better with age.
Her daughter (with director Franco Amurri), Eva Amurri, has had small roles in films and TV for awhile (The Banger Sisters, Saved!, House). We'll likely be seeing her more if she has half the acting skills of her mother.

Moms win again.

Meryl Streep & Grace Gummer

Meryl Streep also is still as stunning as ever, if not more so.

And when she isn't kissing Sandra Bullock, she's winning more awards than she knows what to do with.
Her daughter Grace Gummer has been going to school in Vassar doing some theater work. I always find it admirable when these girls choose to go to school before starting their career, even though they already have that in. Although, who knows, their parents might be forcing them to go to school. You'll be able to watch Grace in the TeenNick show Gigantic (with Laurel Holloman!!!)

Sorry, Grace. Your mother is a goddess amongst us mere mortals.

Ingrid Bergman & Isabella Rossellini

I could sit here for days listing Ingrid Bergman's filmography, but I won't. Instead I'll just write, "Casablanca."
Isabella Rossellini has been a successful model for Lancome. She's also a great actress. Like remember when she was on 30 Rock as Alec Baldwin's ex and she attacked Tina Fey?

By the way, this her model daughter, Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann.

Stunning.
I have to go with Isabella, but Elettra is a close second for me. Personally, I just think Ingrid Bergman is a little overrated (as with Casablanca). But feel free to post angry comments disagreeing.

Holland Taylor & Rachel Shelley
Ah, yes. Peggy and Helena Peabody from The L Word.

Holland Taylor is a brilliant and sassy woman. And lesbians love her because of The L Word and DEBS. Unfortunately, she's currently wasting her time on that Charlie Sheen show (according to me).
And Rachel Shelley... *sigh*

If I were in a relationship, she would be my "free pass." She was the one that made me realize that I had an attraction to women because my response to her was so visceral and strong that I was then able to realize, "Oh, this isn't how my friends feel about women. Well, I've felt this way about women for awhile now." But never that powerful or immediate.
That may be an overshare, but it's the truth.
